 Waffles recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 3/4 cups milk

1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Waffle Iron:

Turn on your waffle iron and let it preheat according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then whisk in the milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients.

Mix until just combined. The batter may have small lumps, which is fine.

5. Grease the Waffle Iron:

Lightly coat the waffle iron with cooking spray or brush it with oil to prevent sticking.

6. Cook the Waffles:

Pour the batter onto the center of the preheated waffle iron (amount depends on your waffle iron size).

Close the lid and cook according to the waffle iron’s instructions, usually for 3-5 minutes, until the waffle is golden brown and crisp.

7. Keep Waffles Warm:

If making multiple waffles, place cooked waffles on a wire rack in a warm oven (around 200°F/93°C) to keep them crisp while preparing the rest.

8. Serve:

Serve waffles immediately with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, powdered sugar, or chocolate syrup.
