Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup milk

1 egg

2 tablespoons melted butter (plus extra for cooking)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract










Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:


In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt


2. Mix the Wet Ingredients:

In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well blended.

3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.

Gently mix until just combined. (The batter may have lumps; avoid overmixing.)

4. Heat the Pan:

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Lightly grease the surface with butter or cooking spray.

5. Cook the Pancakes:

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.

Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set (about 2-3 minutes).

Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.

6. Serve:

Transfer cooked pancakes to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.

Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
