Ingredients


3 large eggs


2 tablespoons milk or water (optional, for fluffiness)


Salt to taste


Black pepper to taste


1 tablespoon butter or oil


Optional fillings:


1/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)


1/4 cup diced vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc.)


2 tablespoons cooked meat (ham, bacon, or sausage)



Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

1. Crack the eggs into a bowl.

2. Add milk or water (if using), salt, and black pepper.

3. Whisk the eggs thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and frothy.

4. Prepare and dice any desired fillings, like vegetables, cheese, or meat.


Step 2: Heat the Pan

1. Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

2. Add butter or oil and let it melt, ensuring it coats the entire pan evenly.


Step 3: Cook the Eggs

1. Pour the whisked eggs into the hot pan.

2. Tilt the pan gently to spread the eggs evenly.

3. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until the edges start to set.


Step 4: Add Fillings

1. Sprinkle your desired fillings (cheese, vegetables, or meat) over one-half of the omelette.

2. Let it cook for another 1–2 minutes until the eggs are mostly set but still slightly soft in the center.


Step 5: Fold the Omelette

1. Using a spatula, carefully fold the empty half of the omelette over the side with the fillings.

2. Gently press down to seal the omelette.


Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

1. Slide the omelette onto a plate.

2. Garnish with fresh parsley, chives, or a sprinkle of cheese, if desired.

3. Serve hot with toast, salad, or your favorite side dish.
