Smoothie Bowls Recipe
Ingredients
For the Smoothie Base:
1 cup frozen bananas (sliced)
1 cup frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
½ cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
½ cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
For the Toppings:
Fresh fruits (sliced bananas, kiwi, strawberries, or blueberries)
Granola
Chia seeds
Shredded coconut
Nuts (almonds, walnuts, or cashews)
Dark chocolate shavings or cacao nibs (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients
Peel and slice the banana before freezing it for at least 2 hours.
Measure out all the other ingredients to make the process smoother.
2. Blend the Smoothie Base
Add frozen bananas, frozen berries, almond milk, and Greek yogurt to a high-speed blender.
Blend until smooth and thick. Use a tamper if needed to keep the mixture moving. Avoid adding too much liquid for a thicker consistency.
3. Adjust the Sweetness
Taste the smoothie base. If you prefer it sweeter, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup and blend again.
4. Transfer to a Bowl
Pour the thick smoothie into a bowl. Smooth out the top using a spoon or spatula.
5. Add the Toppings
Decorate the smoothie bowl with your choice of toppings. Arrange fruits, granola, chia seeds, and other ingredients in patterns or sections for a beautiful presentation.
6. Serve and Enjoy
